Never has there been a more challenging time to raise a family than it is today. One major reason has been the breakdown in community values, where people connected with one another and helped each other within neighborhoods, churches and schools. The old saying, “it takes a village to raise a child” is seemingly lost in today’s me-first culture. As a result of our communities breaking down we are now starting to realize its effect on our society:
- The United States has the highest prison population in the world.
- More youth today are dropping out of school than ever before.
- Poverty continues to be a major challenge in our country.
- The spread of sexually transmitted diseases is crippling our communities.
- Violence continues to escalate, with senseless murders and suicides in our communities.
What is the answer to all of these challenges? Kevin Swann Ministries believes that the answer is finding our purpose in Jesus Christ.
Kevin Swann Ministries desires to create programs, events and workshops that are create, innovative and fun to share an important message about the ills of our society, while also promoting the gospel message. When the gospel can be presented in unique ways for people to understand, we believe great results will follow. Exposure to the world and the gospel is a powerful way to get people to see life differently.
Kevin Swann Ministries programs and services that will help build the esteem and character of our youth, while also teaching them the core values of Jesus Christ: honesty, trustworthiness, forgiveness and compassion.
